The Election Commission of Bhutan conducted training of the Party Coordinators/ Jabchorpas/ Leyjepas in the twenty Dzongkhags with the objective to enhance their knowledge on the following areas:
- Code of Conduct of Political Parties during Elections and between Elections (Do’s and Don’ts)
- Provisions related to Registration, withdrawal or removal from the Party membership (Up- dating the members of the party on daily basis with complete information)
- Role of Political Party Functionaries (Jabchorpas/ Layjepas) The primary objective is to strengthen the institution of the Political Party and make aware of their roles and functions in upholding Democracy.
