The Election Commission of Bhutan would like to once again remind all registered eligible Voters that the Voter Photo Identity Card (VPIC) issued by the Election Commission of Bhutan shall be the one and only valid document for identification of voters at the polling stations during the Poll Day on 27th of September 2016.
Therefore, all voters are reminded that they must have the VPIC to be allowed to vote on Poll Day while they are also advised to carry with them the Citizenship Identity Card.In the event of any dispute related to the VPIC, the Citizenship Identity Card will form the basis for taking decision by the Presiding Officer.
Therefore, the Election Commission of Bhutan urges all registered eligible voters to check whether you have the valid VPIC with National Flag colours. If you are an eligible voter but do not have a VPIC please get in contact with your respective Dzongkhag Election Office or the Election Commission Head Office, get your VPIC in good time and remember to take it with you to the Polling Station on Tuesday, 27th of September 2016.
