This is for kind information of the general public that Thursday, 20th April 2023 is the Poll Day for the fourth National Council Elections, 2023. Therefore, the Election Commission of Bhutan declares the above day as a Public Holiday in all the 20 Dzongkhags. All offices, schools, educational institutes, shops and businesses in the 20 Dzongkhags shall remain closed.
The polling time is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
All the registered voters are urged to participate and exercise their franchise. All voters are reminded to carry the valid Citizenship Identity Card or Voter Photo Identity Card (VPIC) to the polling station.
