Notification on Amendment to Chapter 4 ( Recruitment, Selection and Appointment), Section 4.3.6.7 of the ECBSRR 2025
The Election Commission of Bhutan (ECB) hereby amends Chapter 4, Section 4.3.6.7 of the ECBSRR 2025 as follows:
The Existing provision states:
“In the event the selected candidate withdraws his candidature or a similar vacancy arises in the ECB within a period of three months from the endorsement of the result by the HRC, the post may be offered to the next candidate in order of merit of the selection result subject to fulfilling the predetermined minimum cut-off percentage. “
Section 4.3.6.7 is hereby amended as follows:
“In the event the selected candidate withdraws his candidature or a similar vacancy arises in the ECB within a period of six months from the endorsement of the result by the HRC, the post may be offered to the next candidate in order of merit of the selection result subject to fulfilling the predetermined minimum cut-off percentage.”
Accordingly, Section 4.3.6.7 stands replaced.
The amendment is made in accordance with the power and authority conferred under Chapter 22, Section 22.1 and Section 22.2 of the ECBSRR, 2025.
The above amendment is effective from February 17, 2025.
