The Annual Rimdo of the Election Commission of Bhutan (ECB) for the year 2026 was conducted coinciding with the commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the ECB Office in 2006 at Motithang, Thimphu. The Rimdo was performed by Tsipey Lopens from Pangrizamgpa, Dechencholing. The sacred rituals included Lhabsang, Jabzhi, Mikha, and the recitation of Chö Dhomang, all undertaken with the noble intention of invoking good health, harmony, and well-being for the entire ECB family, as well as to seek blessings for the smooth and successful conduct of the Thromde Elections 2026.
Subsequently, a brief ceremony to mark the ECB Office Establishment Day was held at the Great Fourth Auditorium in the august presence of the Chief Election Commissioner and the Election Commissioner. Officials and staff of the Head Office attended the event in person, while Dzongkhag officials and staff participated virtually, collectively joining in the celebration and reaffirming their shared commitment to the institution and its mandate.
