Seminar-Workshop on Leadership and Management in Good Governance

Two Representatives each from the Five Registered Political Parties and Election Commission of Bhutan are attending a Seminar-Workshop on Leadership and Management in Good Governance from 6th -12th of April 2016 in Manila, Philippines organized by Election Commission of Bhutan (ECB) in partnership with Bhutan Democracy Dialogue (BDD) and Industrial Advancement Academy of Philippines (IAAP) supported and funded by Royal Government of Bhutan (RGOB) and Danish Institute for Parties and Democracy (DIPD).

Over the 5 days, the seminar will see discussions on the Generally Accepted Principles of Parliamentary Procedures, role of Political Parties in Good Governance, Leadership role & Policy Development and Political Landscape in the Philippines among others. The Participants will also have the opportunity to visit the Commission of Elections (COMOLEC) and Senate House.

The Seminar-Workshop aims to provide an opportunity to acquire expert insights, explore leadership and people management concepts in developing practical leadership in good governance. It will offer ideas, frameworks, and tools required in creating an environment and culture that will contribute in transforming an effective work environment and ensure development of Political institutions. And most importantly, it will serve as a common platform and build greater understanding among the Political Parties –‘As Bhutanese First’, thereby contributing towards harmonious political environment.
