Mission 2018: NETWORK FORUM for Successful Third Parliamentary Elections

The Election Commission of Bhutan, towards ensuring a successful conduct of the 3rd Parliamentary Elections 2018, organized a discussion Forum on 26th of June 2017 at Paro with a mixed group of 50 civil servants, comprising of those who served as Returning Officers, National Observers, Democracy Club Coordinators, Principals, Gewog Administrative Officers, and Officials representing Department of Local Governance, Thimphu Thromde, Ministry of Labor and Human Resource, Royal University of Bhutan, National Commission for Women and Children and Gross National Happiness Commission.
The Forum deliberated and reflected on best practices thus far and new challenges related to our Democracy and Elections, with specific impetus on enhancing more voter participation. Further, highlighting on the way forward strategies, it was a profound opportunity for all to come together in fulfilling our responsibilities in Harmony, as we prepare for the conduct of the 3rd Parliamentary elections.
